ABOUT EDITELLE
“Ordinary life is pretty complex stuff.”—Harvey Pekar
What happens when you combine an endless dreamer, an empathetic teacher, a “professional student,” and a language enthusiast?
You get Elle: founder, owner, and operator of EditElle – Writing & Editing Services.
Elle was a certified figure skating coach for 6 years, has taught dance for 14 years, and dabbled in countless other professions while trying to figure out where else she truly belongs. University helped Elle journey through linguistics, English, French, Spanish, psychology, neuroscience . . . we could be here all day on this topic . . . but needless to say nothing really stuck until she tripped and fell head first into editing.
EditElle opened its metaphorical doors in May 2018 with a trusty sidekick in a copy of The Chicago Manual of Style, a membership to Editors Canada, and a whole lot of gumption. Since then, Elle gave birth to her third child, became an Author Accelerator Certified Fiction Book Coach, gave birth to her fourth child, and has worked with over sixty authors across the globe in places such as: New Zealand, UK, Australia, Africa, USA, the Czech Republic, and Canada.
Two things are certain when you hire Elle—she will immediately care for your book nearly as much as you do, and she will be relentless in helping the book in your head make it to the page. Each book and each author needs an individual approach, and Elle will give you and your work the personalized attention that it deserves.
Elle works from home while homeschooling four small children, giving subpar belly rubs to an opinionated dog, enjoying the company of an amazing chef (er—husband), and guzzling an obscene amount of coffee.
